Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance

The Chambers Group Insurance Plan covers businesses with up to 50 employees. The plan is open to all businesses and offers a full range of benefits including coverage normally reserved for 'big businesses'. Benefit packages are also available to farms and ranches from 1 to 50 workers, home-based businesses qualify for coverage, and coverage is guaranteed for farms/ranches with 3 or more workers. With outstanding service and assistance, the Chambers Group Insurance Plan will tailor a benefit program to suit your needs.

Member 2 Member Discounts

Become a partner of our Member 2 Member program to gain extra exposure to over 675 businesses (that's nearly 13,000 employees!) by offering a small discount on your products or services to other Chamber members. Participating as a Member 2 Member partner is free and offers you exposure to other Chamber members on our website, through print materials and through our weekly newsletter advertising.

Membership Referral Program

Referring a new member could save YOU money! The Chamber is proud to introduce the member referral program, for every member you refer who successfully signs up for Chamber membership you will receive a credit worth 10% of your membership dues. Therefore at the end of the fiscal year you will save money on YOUR membership fees. Sign up two members save 20%, sign up ten members and your next year's membership is free. The savings could keep growing, all for referring a business for a membership that you already believe in.

Free Boardroom Space

Chamber members are encouraged to use the boardroom located at the Chamber offices for free at any time. Members are able to access the boardroom day or night by key access and need only call the office to ask for availability. The Chamber boardroom is equipped with seating for 12 comfortably, projector and screen, telephone and conferencing ability, WiFi, water and coffee maker. Grand Opening Package

A ribbon cutting ceremony is a great way to recognize a grand opening, expansion, relocation, anniversary or ground breaking ceremony. The Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce is proud to support business within our area and with the intent of goodwill to new businesses, we have prepared a Grand Opening Package to assist you in hosting a successful event.

E-Advertising

With the Chamber's weekly e-newsletter it's never been easier or more economical to get that extra exposure your business is looking for! Newsletters run the first business day of each week and offer two placement options for banners, top or bottom, as well as our advertorial option. We also offer banner advertising throughout our website - the hub of business activity and resources in our region, and the go-to place fo business-related news. Purchasing Connections Bulletin

MERX, Alberta Purchasing Connections and the City of Medicine Hat provide easy, affordable access to billions of dollars in contracting opportunities with the federal government, as well as participating provincial and municipal governments. At the Chamber of Commerce we provide members with a weekly Purchasing Connections bulletin (on request) to keep you informed of the opportunities available. Networking Events

Business After 5 is Medicine Hat's premier networking event developed to create an atmosphere where the host can market their goods and services and members can network with other Chamber members and guests. Available only to Chamber members to host, but open to the entire business community to attend, this event is a great way to network with other business professionals in the community. Network B4 Nine is a great way to start your morning and is hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. Trade Shows

The Chamber of Commerce facilitates trade shows twice a year, one in the fall and one in the spring. With thousands of consumers visiting the shows over the course of three days these trade shows give an incredible opportunity to gain exposure for your business, demonstrate and sell products, and showcase your services. All members receive 10% off the price of trade show booths.

Cluster Signs

Cluster Signs, also known as logo signs, are used to identify services using company logos or business names to indicate upcoming services along the highway, and within the community. Cluster signs are effective in providing this information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Chamber members receive a significant discount to advertise on these signs located along Highway 1 and Highway 3.

The monthly Chamber Page in the Medicine Hat News is featured the fourth Thursday of every month and advertising on this page is exclusive to Chamber members. The regular price of a 2x2 ad would be $252.64/insertion, however Chamber members can receive the same size ad for a savings of over $200 by advertising on the Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce feature page in the Medicine Hat News.
